How is my life so far?

Well, school is school of course. School-wise, I accomplished all of the goals I set for myself. I finished my first semester with a 4.0 GPA while working four jobs (yes, I know, crazy), got my first professional job in cooking working at a prestige event in Augusta, Georgia, I was able to volunteer my time to a couple of organization, and recently I was awarded student of the month for May.

Socially, things have been different. I started enjoying my circle and the people around me. Then, I realized that I am looking for deeper meanings in my friendships so most school days I hang around the people who enjoy me for who I am. Which are few. I try to stand by myself and be true to who I am here and what makes me who I am. That tends to get lonely sometimes because I am the oldest in my class. It made me focus on my smaller community and friends outside of school. I’ll be okay for sure.

So where am I now?

If you know me, you know that I work a lot and I am a perfectionist ( recovering.) So when I have a goal, I lock in quickly. Now I am
at a point where I am just chilling. Self-care, relaxing, preventing burnout, and working on my personal life. Picking and choosing the right things to put on my resume. Thinking long term mostly and how to combine my Associate’s Degree with my Bachelor’s Degree. I just know that at the end of the tunnel, there is a whole world of opportunities waiting for me. That’s what keeps me going and staying focus. So let’s see where this journey is taking me.
